On April 25th, local musicians gathered at the Broadway Oyster Bar to help the STLSound raise money for Normandy High School's music program. Performing in the first "Play It Forward" show were Side Of Fives, the Melissa Neels Band, Tim Session, Madahoochi, Alvin Jett and the PhatnoiZ Blues Band, the Billy Barnett Band, Fundamental Elements and Salisbury (formerly "Neptune Crush) with a special performance by saxophonist Lew Winer III. The event raised $1300 with which to buy instruments for Normandy High. Swing City Music of Collinsville locaed quality instruments for us to purchase and donate.

We are currently in the planning stages for our next benefit show "Play It Forward II". If you have instuments you would like to donate, time to volunteer, or would like to perform at the next show, please contact Becca at becca @ playitforwardstl.org
